About Judo
Judo is a martial art created by Jigoro Kano (1860-1938) in Japan. It is based on fighting and self-defence techniques that harness the opponent's strength and energy to neutralise him. Judo focuses on the study of efficient movements, the application of biomechanical principles and the improvement of physical and mental condition. Through the practice of Judo, practitioners learn to overcome challenges, develop mutual respect and cultivate the spirit of modesty and self-discipline.
