About Aikido

Aikido is a modern martial art founded by founder Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), who studied the secrets of traditional Japanese martial arts and then went on to establish a more rigorous spiritual discipline.

Aikido does not unnecessarily compete with opponents in terms of strength or weakness.

The aim is to train each other in friendly rivalry and to develop body and mind through techniques born of bodywork and the breathing power of irimi and movement.

Aikido does not compete with others for superiority or inferiority, so there is no combat or competition.

Aikido is a martial art in which students learn to respect each other and learn the spirit of harmony through repeated practice.
